We only sell to the UK. Our website is solely for the promotion of our products in the UK. Unfortunately, we do not accept orders from addresses outside the UK.

Changes and Cancellations:

  • Changes to orders must be requested by telephone on 079 444 638 44 or by email to info@thebakersshop.co.uk. We cannot make any product changes on the day of your order.
  • You may cancel your order up until 5pm the day before delivery/collection and you must notify us by telephone or email if you wish to cancel. A fee of £1 applies to all cancelled orders to cover administration and card refund fees. Orders can not be cancelled on the day.
  • In the very unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil an order, we retain the right to refund or change orders if required.

Returns and Refunds:

  • If upon collection or delivery of the product(s) you find that they are not those ordered by you, or the order is incomplete, or a product is in a damaged condition when you receive it, please notify us immediately by telephone on 079 444 638 44.
  • If a product is not as on the Order Confirmation or damaged we will credit or refund your purchase. In the case of damaged goods you must retain the damaged products and all packaging for inspection by us. Subject to our report on the claimed damage we will refund the price you paid for the returned products together with the delivery charge, or at our option we will provide you with a credit for further products. We will have no liability to you for any indirect loss.
  • We will only make a refund to the original credit card or debit card account used by you to make the online purchase. Ownership of the goods will immediately revert to us if we refund any such payment to you.
  • If you are not happy with the taste of the food item purchased please return the product to one of our stores within 24 hours of collection/delivery so that we can investigate the matter and take appropriate action.
  • We cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product ordered and we cannot accept the return of any product because it does not match the colour you were expecting from viewing your screen display. Additionally, ‘props’ used in our photography are not included in the purchase of any of our baked goods.

Dietary Information:

  • All of our cupcakes are vegetarian, expect for those that contain marshmallows. We handle nuts in our kitchen and therefore cannot guarantee that there are no traces of nuts in all of our products. Please call us to check if you are unsure about any other ingredients in the case of any allergies.
  • We take great care at every stage of our baking process, however on rare occasions it is possible that a piece of eggshell or fruit stone can find its way in to one of our cakes.

Storage:

  • Cupcakes should be stored in their original box in a cool place and are best eaten within 24 hours of purchase. Do not refrigerate.
  • Layer cakes should be store in their original box in a cool place. Only refrigerate if storing for longer than 24 hours. Layer cakes should be removed from the fridge one hour before eating.

  • Pies and Tarts: Delicious fruit pies like apple, cherry, and peach, as well as savory pies such as chicken pot pie and quiche. A variety of tarts including fruit tarts, lemon tarts, and chocolate tarts.
  • Specialty Baked Goods: Unique and seasonal baked goods such as pumpkin pie during the fall, hot cross buns for Easter, and stollen for Christmas. Gluten-free and vegan options may also be available.

Providing the products:

Delivery costs. The costs of delivery will be as displayed to you on our website.

When we will provide the products.The bakery will typically provide you with an estimated timeline for when your order will be ready. This timeframe can vary depending on factors such as the complexity of your order, the current workload of the bakery, and any specific requirements you may have.

If the products are goods. If the products are goods we will deliver them to you as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within 30 days after the day on which we accept your order.

We are not responsible for delays outside our control. If our supply of the products is delayed by an event outside our control, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any products you have paid for but not received.

Collection by you. If you have asked to collect the products from our premises, you can collect them from us at any time during our working hours of 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM hours on weekdays (excluding public holidays).

If you are not at home when the product is delivered. If no one is available at your address to take delivery, we will leave you a note informing you of how to rearrange delivery or collect the products from a local depot.

If you do not re-arrange delivery. If you do not collect the products from us as arranged or if, after a failed delivery to you, you do not re-arrange delivery or collect them from a delivery depot we will contact you for further instructions and may charge you for storage costs and any further delivery costs. If, despite our reasonable efforts, we are unable to contact you or re-arrange delivery or collection we may end the contract and clause 9.2 will apply.

When you become responsible for the goods. A product which is goods will be your responsibility from the time we deliver the product to the address you gave us or you or a carrier organised by you collect it from us.

When you own goods. You own a product which is goods once we have received payment in full.
